YOUTH MONTH | COMMUNITY INVESTMENT | JUNE 2026
This Youth Month, Masslift Africa reflects on its proud sponsorship of the Nomads Hockey Festival and the PBHS Easter Rugby Festival – and what it truly means to invest in South Africa’s next generation.
June in South Africa is a declaration – a national pause to honour the courage and promise of young South Africans. At Masslift Africa, Youth Month carries deep significance. We believe the health of a nation is measured not only by its economy, but by the opportunities it creates for its youth to grow, compete, and lead.
This year, that belief found expression on the fields of two celebrated youth sporting events: the Nomads Hockey Festival and the Pretoria Boys High School (PBHS) Easter Rugby Festival. As a proud sponsor of both, Masslift Africa was not simply placing a brand on a banner — we were making a statement about who we are and what we stand for.
Two Festivals, One Shared Purpose
The Nomads Hockey Festival is one of southern Africa’s most prestigious youth hockey tournaments, drawing schools from across the country. The PBHS Easter Rugby Festival, although presented for the first time, is equally storied – a showcase of young rugby talent played out in the traditions of one of South Africa’s most respected schools. Together, they represent the very best of what youth sport can be: competitive, character-building, and full of possibility.
Whether on the hockey turf or the rugby field, the lessons are the same – discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. These are not only the qualities of great athletes; they are the qualities of great citizens and future leaders.
“When we invest in youth sport, we are not spending money – we are planting seeds. Every young athlete who competes at a festival like the Nomads or PBHS Easter walks away with something that no invoice can quantify: confidence, resilience, and a sense of what they are capable of. That is the kind of investment that transforms a country, and it is one we are honoured to be part of.”

A Better South Africa, Built One Generation at a Time
As a proudly South African company, Masslift Africa does not take its responsibility lightly. We operate in an industry that demands precision and long-term thinking – and we bring that same mindset to community investment. Sponsoring these festivals is part of a broader commitment to creating a South Africa where young people have the platforms, opportunities, and support to become the best versions of themselves.
This Youth Month, we reaffirm that commitment. We are proud of the role we play, and we look forward to continuing to invest in the next chapter of South Africa’s story – one young champion at a time.
